In recent years, much evidence has indicated that common neurophysiopathological pathways are involved in apparently very different pathologies. Neurological and psychiatric disorders, addiction, nutrition/metabolic and sleep disorders require a common approach to foster a transversal therapeutic strategy.
The Bordeaux neuroscience community is internationally renowned for its expertise in fundamental, clinical and translational research. It runs one LabEx and 2 EquipEx projects and is composed of 230 researchers working on clinical, translational and fundamental research projects.
There are strategic challenges to develop new partnerships between medical departments but also between the hospitals (general, psychiatric) and university departments (health, human sciences, computer sciences) to better treat patientssuffering from cognitive, emotional, motor or behavioral disorders.
Our FHU strategy will use clinical, biological and computer research to improve the-health care and safety of our patients.
