WP4: Innovative Health Care Organisation E-Health Telemedecine
Our objective is to develop new clinical interactions between WP1, 2 and 3 and optimize the current clinical settings for better personalized medicine.
The recent development of new mobile e-health technologies (Ecological Momentary Assessment, connected objects, internet software, image processing based on web-services, embodied conversational agents) will allow us to monitor clinical symptoms and treatment outcomes in the natural environment of patients. Telemedicine will be developed to improve interactions between hospital-based and home care providers and facilitate patient access to expert assessments. Integration of virtual physician’s reports (embodied conversational agents) and connected objects linked to the present computerized medical system will improve the daily follow-up of patients and will reduce hospital costs by promoting ambulatory medicine and home care treatments.
Clinical/paraclinical data management and follow-up of cohorts will rely on a common data base system integrating patients’ follow-up. Similar systems will apply to healthy subjects (control subjects) and shift workers in the hospital will benefit from a similar follow-up that will feed into the common data base. Philips will bespecifically involved in a pilot program on hospital workers to improve their sleep hygiene and circadian rhythms.
