Transfer coordinator : Dr. Pier-Vincenzo Piazza

Dr. Pier-Vincenzo Piazza is a PhD, MD and the founder and director of the Neurocentre Magendie in Bordeaux, an INSERM/University of Bordeaux research center. He has recently designed a program called Neurocampus aimed at creating one of the largest research facilities dedicated to Neuroscience in Europe. It has received 75 M€ of funding by the Aquitaine Regional Government. He also has good knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and of the theoretical framework guiding modern drug development. Dr. Piazza has founded three biotech companies: Fluofarma, Aliénor Farma and Aelis Farma. Aelis Farma focuses on developing signaling specific therapeutic drugs that are based on one of the latest discoveries of Dr. Piazza. The development of this new pharmacological class is today Dr. Piazza’s principal focus and challenge.
